Hello, I’m Tom, a Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work and over a decade of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate life’s challenges. I approach our work together with warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for each person’s lived experience and consider it a privilege to be invited into your story.

My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that meaningful change grows out of a safe, trusting, and authentic relationship. I see myself not as an expert who has all the answers, but as a partner in the process; someone who can sit with you when things feel heavy, confusing, or stuck, and support you as you move toward the life you want to live. Together, we focus on your goals, at your pace, and what feels most important and meaningful to you.

I support people through various challenges related to anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, neurodiversity, anger management, shame, relational dynamics, narcissistic relationships and gaslighting, caregiver support, and more. When working with couples, I help partners strengthen communication, trust and safety, navigate conflict, and develop greater connection and intimacy. I also bring personal and professional insight into the nuances experienced by neurodivergent couples and the unique influence this can have on a relationship.

My approach is rooted in relational, psychodynamic, attachment, and trauma-informed principles, and I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches including, but not limited to, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, emotionally focused couples therapy (EFCT), exposure and response prevention (ERP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based practices. I take an eclectic and collaborative approach, adapting therapy to fit your needs rather than expecting you to fit into a particular model.

Above all, I believe therapy should feel human. It should be a space where you can speak openly, explore your experiences without judgment, and begin to reconnect with your strengths, values, and sense of direction. My goal is to make you feel empowered, supported, and in control of your own story, and work to surround your life with meaning and a sense of fulfillment.

In my personal time I focus on family, relaxation, and surrounding myself with things that allow me to find a place of meaning and peace in my life. I enjoy the outdoors and can be found fishing, kayaking, playing and coaching sports, and spending time with my child and partner.

There are so many reasons for seeking therapy. Yours are your own. Whether you are new to therapy or have had previous experiences with it, I commend you for taking this first, big step of seeking out a therapist who feels like a good fit for you.

Finding the words to speak your truth in the presence of an attuned, empathic, and non-judgmental other is a vulnerable yet powerful experience. This is the core of talk therapy. As a relational psychotherapist, I focus primarily on how your relationships, both past and present, have shaped your sense of self and created the blueprints for the ways that you connect (or don’t) with others. I work from the fundamental understanding that past and present are inextricably linked, and we will attend to both in your therapy in addition to any goals or vision you have for your future. From a place of open curiosity, we may notice connections, identify patterns, and listen closely to all the feelings that come up along the way.

I aim to create a space [for my clients] that balances warmth and validation with directness and accountability. Personal growth happens in the sweet spot just beyond our comfort zones. Looking inward can evoke a discomfort that, when tolerable, can inspire change in our stuck patterns and help shift perspectives that no longer serve us. Our emotions, including the more difficult ones, can be full of important information to help better understand ourselves.

One of my main goals in our work together will be to understand, as much as I possibly can, whether our identities and life experiences align or diverge ~ what it’s like for you to be you in this world. I value our individual positions within systems of oppression, power, and identity as important aspects of how our lives are shaped, how we perceive and are perceived by others, and the freedom with which we move through the world.

Many people come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or stuck. I work with individuals and couples of all ages and walks of life with ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Relationship challenges, Bipolar Disorder (BD), Neurodiverse Couples, Depression, Sex & Intimacy issues, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Grief, and Trauma. My approach to working with your issues or diagnoses is to work with your understanding of your situation, what this means to you, and how you live with it. I strive to make sessions an open, collaborative, and conversational space where you can show up however you’re feeling, and wherever you’re at, no performance necessary. And then we go from there.

Couples often reach out to me feeling stuck in the same arguments, disconnected, or unsure how to find their way back to each other after hurt or miscommunication. I support couples who are struggling with communication, emotional distance, sexual issues, recurring conflict, or mismatched needs. I work with partners navigating ADHD, Autism, and AuDHD to better understand differences in communication styles, sensory needs, emotional regulation, and expectations that can create tension. I also have extensive experience working with the LGBTQ+ community and offer a space where all identities and relationship structures are welcomed and respected. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, helping you slow things down, understand each other more clearly, and build healthier patterns for connection, intimacy, and more ease and enjoyment together!

I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches based on your needs including: Psychodynamic Psychotherapy; Self Psychology; Attachment Theory; Relational Psychoanalysis; Somatic Therapies; Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy For Couples (EFT), Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy PACT); Relational Life Therapy (RLT); Tammy Nelson’s Sex & Intimacy work; Neurobiology; and Mindfulness Therapy among others.

Whether you start with a free consultation or book a first session, I look forward to meeting you and walking alongside you as you begin this work.

Hello! I’m Sara, and I’m honoured to offer individual and relationship counselling for adults and youth aged 15 and older. It brings me joy to be a part of your journey toward greater well-being, and I look forward to working together to help you achieve your personal goals.

I have a rich educational background and diverse experience that enables me to connect with clients from all walks of life. While I embrace a wide array of topics, my specializations and passions include supporting individuals and couples with neurodiversity (ADHD & Autism), trauma and PTSD, addictions and substance use, and relational dynamics.

I’m here to support you through various challenges, whether you’re facing anxiety, autism, ADHD, addictions, depression, chronic illness (both mental and physical), trauma (including PTSD and C-PTSD), LGBTQIA+ issues, or loss and grief. I also have experience and training in areas related to sex, intimacy, and relationships, including non-monogamous, and neurodiverse partnerships.

As a neurodivergent myself, I truly understand living in a world that wasn’t necessarily designed for you and that can be at times isolating. I am committed to ensuring you have a different experience, one that helps you discover your strengths and moves toward empowerment!

In our work together, each session begins with a process of sharing and getting comfortable with one another. This foundational step allows us to explore how past experiences have shaped your present—what I refer to as the “living legacy” of our experiences. Together, we will develop practical tools to cope with life’s challenges while also addressing the core issues that may be holding you back from living authentically and in a way that truly resonates with you. By examining these deeper layers, we can work toward meaningful change and growth.

I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches such as psychodynamic and relational frameworks, narrative therapy, trauma-informed stabilization treatment (TIST), somatic and body-based awareness techniques, relational life therapy, harm reduction, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and internal family systems (IFS). My goal is to meet you where you are, employing a harm reduction model that respects your dignity and rights, particularly as we navigate issues around addiction, self-harm, and mental health disorders.

Creating a safe and trusting environment is a top priority for me. I want you to feel empowered and in control of your healing journey. I genuinely value and respect our unique experiences and am committed to seeing the world through your eyes. With my experience and a heartfelt commitment to ongoing learning, I believe we can co-create a meaningful therapeutic experience that is uniquely yours - one that brings you the fulfillment and contentment you truly deserve!

Client Focus: Teens, Adults & Relationships, LGBTQ+ (In Person or Online).

Areas of Support: Teenage Issues, Teen-Parent Support, Spiritual Journey Exploration, Relationships (Couples, Family, work, friendships), Menopause Support and Anxiety.

Types of Counselling: Jungian, Gestalt, Reichian, Mindfulness, Relational, Psychosynthesis, Movement & Expression, Visualization, Eastern Traditions, Buddhist Meditation.

The roads have been colourful and the path winding! My own healing journey started with Gabrielle Roth’s 5 Rhythms where stories of joy, shame, trauma, and grief danced to the surface. The journey deepened through my training at the Transpersonal Therapy Centre where I completed a three year professional Psychotherapy Training Diploma in 2008.

I offer support and guidance with teen issues, relationships, stress & anxiety, and menopause. My commitment for ongoing self reflection, healing, and liberation is entwined in my every day, and I honour this opportunity to walk alongside and support you on your own path of self discovery and healing!

I have been working with teens for over 25 years both academically and emotionally supporting them through this incredible and essential transitional time of their lives. I have worked with teens who struggle to cope with the demands of school, are navigating issues in both friendship and family dynamics, are exploring identity or gender issues, and who are finding their way through the complex emotional landscape of becoming a whole and individuated self. Providing a safe and non judgmental space is essential for teens, and I focus on establishing a strong and spacious relational connection so that they feel comfortable to share and express themselves freely.

I also work with women who are experiencing the physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges of the transitional time we call the Menopause. Embracing spiritual changes during Menopause allows us to connect with self compassion & love, find meaning, purpose, peace, and fulfillment in our lives. This transitional time can bring with it turbulence and uncertainty. I offer both individual sessions and group workshops, which can be extremely supportive in exploring and finding meaning at this time of life.

I integrate the teachings of Carl Jung, Gestalt Psychology, Reichian Therapy, Mindfulness, Relational work, Psychosynthesis, Movement, Visualization, and Eastern Traditions like Buddhist Meditation and Sri Aurobindo.

Whether you are seeking guidance for your relationship, anxiety, stress management, menopause, or teenage issues, our work together will be unique to your needs and lived experience. Together, we will create a safe space for you to explore yourself, your subconscious, illuminate both the shadow and the light that lives within each of us, and how life’s challenges are often a gateway to self-realization!

If you have any questions or would like to schedule a complimentary 15 minute phone consult, please don’t hesitate to contact me at sacred_dance@yahoo.ca

Disclaimer: Please note I am not a Registered Psychotherapist which may address serious emotional, cognitive or behavioural disorders. The three year psychotherapy training institute I graduated from, The Transpersonal Therapy Centre, closed before CRPO was created.

What this means for you: I have the training and experience similar to other therapists, however our sessions will not be covered under your benefit plan.

Welcome! I’m Tyler, Registered Social Worker with a Master of Social Work (MSW) and post graduate training in individual, couples, and sex therapy. Finding a therapist that you can connect with is critical to getting the support you are looking for. At the heart of my work is a client-centred approach which emphasizes respect, compassion, and authenticity. My work integrates the importance of how culture, race, sexual orientation, and gender expression may influence you and your life. No two circumstances are the same, so together we can explore how your unique lived experience shapes your emotional reality.

I support individuals and couples experiencing a wide range of concerns related to relationships, communication, emotional and sexual intimacy, self esteem, depression, life transitions, bereavement, trauma, and anxiety. I have a special interest in working with couples, neurodiversity, 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, immigrants, and high performance sports. My therapeutic approach with individuals integrates a mixture of relational, psychodynamic, emotion focused, attachment based, body based awareness practices, mindfulness therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and narrative therapy.

With couples, my work is informed by the Couples Institute Developmental Model, Gottman Method, Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT), Assessing and Treating Sexual Issues in Psychotherapy (ATSIP), and Tammy Nelson’s certification in Sex Therapy. Couples therapy can help you communicate more effectively, understand yourself and partner on deeper levels, resolve conflict in healthier ways, enhance emotional & physical intimacy, tackle decisions or life transitions, manage grief or loss, and create a shared vision for your future.

I work collaboratively with you, and with a solid understanding of attachment, trauma and neuroscience, I will support & guide you to explore, grow, and heal, helping you make sense of your lived experience, identify areas for growth, and reach goals that are important to you. I look forward to the possibility of working together!
